Pat McGrath - Shopify, NetSuite and WMS (Blue Yonder) Integration

We spoke with Seb Jackson, Operations Director at Pat McGrath about our project replacing and maintaining their NetSuite, Shopify and WMS (Blue Yonder) integrations.

1. What was the background context to the project and what were the key business objectives?

The primary objective for Pat McGrath was to transition away from our legacy integrations without causing any operational downtime. Our previous setup lacked proper support, making it challenging to resolve issues or introduce new features when needed. It also lacked reporting capabilities, leaving us unable to track or recover lost orders — resulting in missed sales and disappointed consumers.

Beyond addressing immediate pain points, we were also focused on future-proofing our integration landscape. We needed a flexible foundation that could easily accommodate the addition of tools like a CRM system or data warehouse as the business evolves. Frog Stack allowed us to tick all the boxes.

2. How did the project go? What advice would you give someone else taking on a similar project?

To ensure a smooth transition, we phased the integration rollout and the project was a great success. Each new integration was carefully switched on following thorough testing by both the Frog Stack and Pat McGrath teams.

We needed to connect an eCommerce platform with an international overlay, two warehouses, and an ERP system - each with its own set of complexities. Many of the quirks and edge cases only surfaced during testing and implementation, but the Frog Stack team consistently stepped in with speed and understanding to define issues as they arose and allow us to agree the best solution for us.

3. Why did you choose Frog Stack to do the integration?

During our integration partner selection process, we spoke with several out-of-the-box providers, but it quickly became clear that they expected us to adapt our processes to fit their solutions - an approach that would have forced compromises we weren’t willing to make. Frog Stack stood out as the only team focused on building a solution around our needs, offering the flexibility to design an approach that truly worked for us.

4. How did you find the experience of working with Frog Stack?

The Frog Stack team is not only highly knowledgeable but also genuinely approachable, making every interaction a pleasure. Their ongoing support has been outstanding - always responsive, consistently high-quality, and reliably there when we need them. They frequently offer insightful input, even on topics beyond their usual scope and are always willing to go the extra mile. A great example of this was when we needed a NetSuite consultant to review our scripts, but didn’t know how to go about finding someone reliable - Dan promptly stepped in and made it happen without hesitation.

What truly sets Frog Stack apart is their role as a proactive partner in driving continuous improvement. They don’t just maintain stable integrations - they consistently challenge us in thoughtful, constructive ways that help refine and elevate our processes. The value they bring goes far beyond technical execution; they’ve proven to be a genuine business partner.
