In our experience out-of-the-box (OOTB) connectors are rarely able to support all business processes. Often, edge cases are left incorrectly integrated, which leads to data corruption and the need for manual workarounds. This is not that surprising given that modern business applications are highly customisable, and it would be difficult for any OOTB connector to link highly customised source and target systems.

To achieve effective and reliable integration it is usually necessary to take a pre-built generic connector and modify it to support each customer's specific requirements. The Frog Stack connectors are designed to allow pre-built starter connectors to be quickly and easily enriched with a layer of customer-specific data. This makes our platform easy to maintain and upgrade.

Below is a table showing the business applications that are most commonly used by SME retailers and for which Frog Stack have pre-built connectors.

SAP B1 Integration Points

A SAP B1 integration project typically covers the following processes:

  • Posting in-store and online sales (Sales Orders/Invoices), returns and exchanges (Credit Memos/Returns).
  • Return processes - both expected and unexpected returns, B2B returns, and stock returns.
  • Automatic stock and financial postings based on e-commerce and in-store refunds. Including payment references to allow easy reconciliation across multiple refund scenarios, such as cancellations and return-to-sender.
  • Synchronising inventory across multiple channels - websites, marketplaces, stores.
  • Automated or semi-automated payout reconciliations for various payment providers.
  • Stock / inventory transfer orders and direct transfers - integrating to POS/WMS.
  • Stock takes / stock counts - full and cycle counts.
  • Stock reconciliation reporting - regular checks to ensure the ERP and WMS stock records align; or reporting on why not.
  • Unifying customer data - both inside the ERP and to third-party systems such as CRM, POS and e-commerce platforms.
  • Amending postings depending on specific criteria - e.g. order channels that pay tax on your behalf (e.g. TikTok), third party fulfilment services (Global-E, Swap).
